A microchip can provide a lifetime of permanent identification if your dog gets lost.
A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted by a needle under the skin between the shoulder blades. The microchip is pre-programmed with its own identification number. We only use ISO microchips which are recognized around the world.
Microchipping your dog is important so that when your dog is found it can be scanned and returned to you. Unfortunately, collars fall off and tattoos become very hard to read. It is the best way to ensure the safe return of your beloved dog.
Your dog will be scanned for a microchip using a special scanner. The scanner will reveal a specific number registered to your dog. We can then call the microchip registry to get all of the necessary contact information. Microchips are very safe.
