X-ray

A non-invasive diagnostic tool used to identify internal problems and provide medical care.

Aurora Animal Clinic has a modern digital radiology unit that allows us to quickly and safely obtain diagnostic images in seconds. We are able to enhance, enlarge and even share radiographs with specialists anywhere in North America to get clear, concise, interpretation for all of our patients.

How do you use x-ray and radiology services at your clinic?

Radiology and ultrasonography are both offered at the Aurora Animal Clinic. Together they provide needed diagnostic information to help us determine the best medical and surgical treatment for your pet.

How do you prepare your dog for their x-ray appointment?

Before you bring your dog for your appointment we would recommend overnight fasting since the majority of our radiographs are taken when the dog is lightly sedated. We find that sedation relieves much of the patient’s anxiety when being positioned for radiographs and makes the procedure flow more quickly and safely.

How much do dog x-ray examinations cost?

The cost of radiographs can vary depending on the number of views that need to be taken and whether sedation is required. We would recommend that you contact the clinic at 905-727-9449 so that we can put a treatment plan together to outline the costs for your specific pet.
