The staff at Aurora Animal Clinic takes pain control for our patients very seriously. As we are always looking for ways to improve analgesia for our pets, we have invested in a therapeutic laser!
The laser that we have is considered a “cold therapy laser.” All this means is that it emits a therapeutic amount of both visual and near-infrared light without having a thermal effect on the tissues. These lasers work on a cellular level, unlike the surgical power laser most people picture. Our laser also has a blue light function, which is great for its antimicrobial properties.
The versatility of these lasers is amazing; we are seeing results across the board!
